What are your hours of operation?

Office hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday 9 to 3.

However, your Personal Access Code gives you access to your unit 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

And the Insomniac™ Kiosk lets you start a new storage unit rental at any time of day or night without having to set up through the office.

Do you pick up and deliver the Big Box on weekends?

We're closed on Sundays but we do operate on Saturdays from 9am to 3pm. A Saturday pick-up will therefore need to be before 3pm. If the drop-off is on a Saturday, the pick-up will be on the Monday, at no extra charge for the extra day you have the Big Box.

What areas does BigBox Mobile serve?

We mostly service London ON and the rest of southwestern Ontario, including Windsor, Chatham, Sarnia, St Thomas, Woodstock, Brantford, Simcoe, St Catherines, Niagara, Hamilton, Burlington, Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo, Stratford, Goderich, Port Elgin, Owen Sound, Orangeville, Barrie, Mississauga, Toronto, Oshawa, and all the smaller towns and rural areas in between.

But we've also had occasion to send our drivers as far as Sault Ste. Marie! So please do enquire even if you're further afield within Ontario.

Do you do international moves?

We don't go outside of Ontario ourselves. However, we'd be glad to serve as a pick-up point if you'd like to make arrangements for an international moving company to come to our storage yard or facility and transfer the contents of your Big Box or City Centre Storage unit into their truck for transportation the rest of the way.

You will need to leave your key with us or a trusted friend if you will not be there yourself to open your storage unit for the movers.

Does the City Centre Storage unit come with a lock?
Does anyone else have a key?

All City Centre Storage units are equipped to receive a special, high security cylinder lock. Your storage unit does not come with the lock itself, just the fitting to receive it.

Some storage units also provide the option of using a padlock or disc padlock instead. The cylinder lock is the one that offers the highest level of security.

You can purchase your lock from us, either at our Box & Bubble division during office hours, or through the Insomniac™ Kiosk 24/7.

If you get your lock from the kiosk, it will be a cylinder lock. The kiosk will only assign storage units that are equipped for this type of lock.

Because you lock your storage unit with your own lock, no one else has a key unless you've given it to them yourself.

Are there any items I cannot store?

For health and safety reasons, storing certain types of items is prohibited. You may not store anything perishable or organic/biological (plants, animals, food), anything illegal, nor anything hazardous, dangerous or toxic. No fuel (gasoline, propane) or other flammable, explosive or corrosive chemicals (cleaners, solvents, paint other than watercolours), nor anything else that could cause a health or safety problem.

Also, please prepare any vehicles, appliances or equipment such as gas lawnmowers by draining the fuel before storage.
